How to Use This Size Chart
Our size chart lists the exact chest, waist and sleeve measurements for every size we offer, from XS through to 3XL, across both men’s and women’s ranges. Because leather behaves differently to fabric, it is worth measuring yourself directly rather than relying on your usual clothing size when choosing a leather jacket.
How to Take Your Measurements
- Chest: wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms, keeping it level
- Waist: measure around your natural waistline, just above the hip bone
- Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist with your arm slightly bent
Take these measurements over a light shirt, not bare skin, for the most accurate result. Compare your numbers against the size chart above and choose the size that most closely matches your chest measurement, since this is the hardest area to adjust after purchase.
Tips for a Better Fit
If your measurement falls between two sizes on the size chart, we generally recommend sizing up, since leather can be taken in slightly by a tailor but cannot easily be let out. Styles like our bomber jackets are designed with a relaxed fit for layering, while biker jackets and blazers are cut closer to the body, so always check the size chart for the specific style you are ordering.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do men’s and women’s sizes use the same size chart? No, our size chart lists separate measurements for men’s and women’s styles, so make sure you check the correct table for the jacket you are buying.
What if my measurements do not match a standard size? Contact our team through the Contact page and we can advise on the closest fit, or discuss a custom order built to your exact measurements.
Does leather stretch over time? Yes, genuine leather softens and stretches slightly with wear, so a snug fit at first will relax after a few weeks of regular use.
Why Sizing Matters More With Leather
Unlike cotton or polyester, leather does not have much stretch built into the weave, so a poorly chosen size is much harder to fix later. That is exactly why we publish a detailed size chart rather than relying on generic small, medium and large labels. Taking a few extra minutes to measure yourself against our size chart before ordering is the best way to avoid a return or exchange, and it means your jacket will look and fit the way it was designed to from day one.
Should I size up for winter layering? If you plan to wear a jumper or hoodie underneath, size up one from your usual measurement on the size chart so the jacket still closes comfortably over extra layers.
How accurate is the size chart? Our size chart is based on the actual finished measurements of each jacket, not just a generic sizing standard, so it should closely match the real garment you receive.
Can I get help choosing a size over email? Yes, send us your chest, waist and sleeve measurements through the Contact page and our team will recommend the closest size from the size chart.
Are custom sizes available? Yes, if none of the standard sizes on the chart fit you well, our custom order service can build a jacket to your exact measurements.
